Passionflower Bedtime Mocktail

A soothing alcohol-free nightcap shaking passionflower tea with lemon, honey syrup, and a splash of sparkling water—all the ritual of a cocktail with none of the buzz.

Since passionflower is a gentle sedative best enjoyed as an evening wind-down, the obvious choice for its 'cocktail' slot is a calming, alcohol-free bedtime mocktail. This nightcap gives you all the ritual of shaking and garnishing a proper drink without anything that would disrupt your rest.

Strongly brewed, chilled passionflower tea forms the base, shaken with fresh lemon and a little honey syrup for brightness and body. A top of sparkling water adds a festive fizz, turning a simple infusion into something that feels special enough to sip slowly before bed.

Keep the flavors soft and balanced—just enough lemon to lift the mild herb, just enough honey to round it. Shaking with ice chills and lightly dilutes the drink, giving it that crisp, cocktail-like texture while staying entirely non-alcoholic.

This is intentionally a mocktail through and through; there is no spirit to add. Because passionflower acts as a mild sedative, this is meant as a calming, alcohol-free nightcap—enjoy it in the evening, and take care during pregnancy or alongside sedatives, since combining sedating herbs with alcohol is best avoided entirely.
