FindMeTea respects your privacy. This page summarizes how we handle data.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics and PostHog to understand how visitors use the site (e.g. pages visited, actions taken). This helps us improve the product. Outside the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, these analytics cookies are on by default; if you choose "Decline", PostHog stops storing anything in your browser. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we set no analytics cookies until you choose "Allow cookies"; until then, PostHog counts visits without cookies or local storage.
Account and recommendations
When you sign up, we store your email and profile data to provide recommendations and daily limits. Recommendation inputs (mood, goal, etc.) are used only to generate your tea suggestions and are not sold to third parties.
Your choices
To change your cookie choice, clear this site's cookies and reload the page (or open the site again): the cookie banner appears again on any page other than the home page, and you can choose "Decline" or "Allow cookies". You can also block cookies in your browser settings. For account data, contact us or use your profile to update or delete information.
FindMeTea in ChatGPT and Claude
If you use FindMeTea from ChatGPT or Claude, the assistant sends our server only what the search needs: the tea or city you asked about, your language and, when the assistant shares it, your approximate city and country. We use them only to answer and to show shops near you first. The assistant also attaches anonymous technical identifiers, which we don't use. We don't ask for your name, email or exact location, we don't store your questions or your location, and we don't share them with anyone. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes technical data about each request (such as IP address and time) to deliver and protect the site; the request logs we can see are kept for at most 24 hours, and Vercel's own retention follows its privacy notice. Links in the plugin's answers carry a tag (utm_source=findmetea-plugin) so our analytics can count the visits that come from it; if you open one, the cookie rules above apply. You can disconnect FindMeTea in your assistant's settings at any time; for anything else, write to hello@findmetea.com.
