Cold-Brewed Silver Needle with Honeydew and Mint

A crystal-clear cold brew of Silver Needle white tea with fresh honeydew melon and mint—pure, sweet, and impossibly refreshing.

Cold-brewing Silver Needle is the best way to experience its natural sweetness. The slow, cold extraction produces a pale, luminous liquor with zero bitterness—just pure honeydew sweetness and downy softness.

Adding fresh honeydew melon to the cold brew doubles down on the tea's signature flavor. The melon's juicy sweetness and the tea's subtle melon notes create a feedback loop of refreshment that's almost addictive.

A few sprigs of fresh mint add brightness without overpowering the tea. Muddle them gently—you want a hint of herbal freshness, not a mojito.

Serve this in a clear pitcher and watch it disappear at any summer gathering. It's naturally sweet enough that most people won't need any added sugar, making it one of the healthiest refreshments you can pour.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Silver Needle white tea leaves
  • 3 cups cold filtered water
  • 1 cup honeydew melon, cubed
  • 4–5 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)
  • Ice cubes

How to make it

  1. 1Cold-brew: add Silver Needle leaves to cold water in a jar. Refrigerate 8–12 hours.
  2. 2Strain tea through a fine sieve. Discard leaves.
  3. 3Lightly muddle honeydew cubes and mint leaves in the bottom of a pitcher.
  4. 4Pour cold brew over the muddled fruit and mint. Stir gently.
  5. 5Add honey if desired and stir to dissolve. Serve over ice.
