Spiced Cinnamon Apple Mocktail

A caffeine-free mocktail of cinnamon tea, apple cider, and a splash of soda — warm spice and crisp fruit in a celebratory, alcohol-free glass.

Because cinnamon tea is naturally caffeine-free and calming rather than energizing, this slot leans fully into a mocktail rather than a traditional spirit-forward cocktail — it's a drink built for relaxed evenings, not nightcaps that need to compete with alcohol.

A strong cinnamon tea concentrate forms the backbone, mingling with apple cider for natural sweetness and a fruity tartness that echoes cinnamon's own warm profile — the two flavors have shared the same spice rack for centuries, and they're just as natural together in a glass.

A splash of sparkling soda at the end lifts the whole drink, adding texture and a festive fizz without diluting the cinnamon-apple character. Served over ice with a cinnamon stick stirrer, it looks and feels like a proper celebratory drink, no alcohol required.

This mocktail works well at gatherings where some guests want something special without alcohol, or simply as an evening treat — it has all the warmth and ceremony of a mulled drink, but stays light enough to enjoy any time of day since there's no caffeine to worry about.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup strong cinnamon tea concentrate (3 cinnamon sticks simmered in 1 cup water, reduced by half)
  • 1 cup apple cider (unfiltered apple juice)
  • 1/2 cup sparkling soda water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup, to taste
  • Apple slices, for garnish
  • Cinnamon sticks, for garnish
  • Ice cubes

How to make it

  1. 1Simmer cinnamon sticks in 1 cup water for 10 minutes, then continue reducing to about 1/2 cup. Let cool to room temperature.
  2. 2In a pitcher, combine cinnamon concentrate, apple cider, lemon juice, and honey or maple syrup. Stir until honey dissolves.
  3. 3Fill two glasses with ice and divide the cinnamon-apple mixture between them.
  4. 4Top each glass with sparkling soda water, garnish with apple slices and a cinnamon stick, and serve immediately.
