Iced GABA Oolong with Plum and Lime

A refreshing cold-brewed GABA Oolong drink with muddled plum and lime, drawing out the tea's natural dried-fruit sweetness in a bright, low-astringency iced tea.

Cold-brewing is an excellent way to highlight GABA Oolong's naturally mellow, fruity profile, since the slow, gentle extraction avoids drawing out any of the bitterness that hot brewing can sometimes introduce. The result is a smooth, plummy iced tea you can sip all afternoon.

Fresh plum slices and a squeeze of lime echo and brighten the tea's own dried-fruit notes, creating a layered fruitiness — ripe and fresh up front, dried and mellow underneath — without needing much added sugar.

Because GABA Oolong has a comparatively gentle caffeine profile among true teas, this iced drink works well as a relaxed midday refresher rather than a sharp energy boost — pleasant any time you want something cooling without a jolt.

Cold-brew overnight for the smoothest result. If you're short on time, a quick hot brew chilled over ice works too, but expect a slightly brighter, less rounded flavor than the full cold-brew version.

  2. 2Cover and refrigerate for 8–12 hours.
  3. 3Strain through a fine sieve into a clean pitcher, pressing gently on the fruit and leaves to extract flavor.
