Huoshan Yellow Tea with Honey and Goji
A soft, nourishing wellness cup pairing sweet Huoshan Huang Ya with a touch of honey and goji berries—calming, gently focusing, and easy on the stomach.
Huoshan Huang Ya is a smooth, sweet yellow tea whose mellow character makes it a lovely base for a gentle wellness ritual. With moderate caffeine balanced by L-theanine, it offers a calm, clear-headed focus, and its low astringency makes it easy on the stomach. This version keeps things soft and lightly sweet.
Water temperature matters with yellow tea. Brew it a little cooler than boiling—around 80 to 85°C—so you draw out the sweet, corn-and-chestnut notes without any harshness. Too-hot water flattens the delicate flavor and can pull out unwanted edge.
Goji berries are a classic Chinese wellness pairing and a natural fit here. Steeped alongside the tea, they add a gentle, lightly sweet fruitiness and soften into a pleasant nibble, while a small spoon of honey rounds the cup into something soothing and warm.
Sip this in the morning or early afternoon for calm, steady focus, or whenever you want a gentle, comforting cup. It is naturally caffeinated, so enjoy it earlier in the day if you are caffeine-sensitive, and keep the honey light to let the tea's own sweetness shine.
