Assam with Fresh Ginger, Honey and Lemon
Strong Assam brewed over a ginger decoction and finished with raw honey and a squeeze of lemon: malty, spicy and warming.
Assam's bold, malty body is the ideal foundation for a ginger-and-honey cup—it stands up to strong flavors like ginger and lemon without disappearing, unlike lighter teas that get buried.
Fresh ginger root is non-negotiable here. It delivers a spicy, warming kick that pairs naturally with Assam's brisk tannins. Together they create a drink that feels like a warm blanket for your throat and chest.
Raw honey goes in after the tea cools slightly, so its aroma is not cooked away. The honey rounds out the ginger's heat and gives the cup its sweetness.
Drink this when the weather turns, or simply as a daily morning ritual. Ginger, honey and lemon is the drink half the world reaches for in the cold months; we make no promise about what it does, but with Assam's caffeine at level 3 of 3 on our scale it is a strong, warming start to the day.
