Energy Blend Mate Mojito (with Mocktail Option)

A herbaceous twist on the mojito built on cold-brewed energy blend, white rum, lime, and mint — plus a zero-proof version that keeps the energizing lift intact.

The energy blend's mint-and-mate character makes it a natural fit for a mojito. Cold-brewed and shaken with white rum, lime, and fresh mint, it adds a green, herbaceous depth and a touch of natural caffeine that lifts the classic cocktail into something more invigorating.

Start with a strong, chilled cold brew of the blend so the yerba mate and guayusa flavors come through against the rum. Muddle plenty of fresh mint with lime and a little sugar to build that signature mojito brightness, then top with the infused tea.

Keep the rum measure modest — the blend brings its own bold personality, and a single pour lets the herbal notes shine. A long mint sprig and a lime wheel finish it like a proper mojito.

For a zero-proof mocktail, skip the rum entirely and top the muddled lime and mint with the cold-brewed energy blend and a splash of soda. You keep the refreshing, lightly caffeinated lift — making this the rare mocktail that actually energizes — perfect for a daytime gathering or a designated-driver pour.

Ingredients

  • 90 ml strong cold-brewed energy blend, chilled
  • 45 ml white rum (omit for mocktail)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 8–10 fresh mint leaves, plus a sprig to garnish
  • 2 tsp sugar or 1 tbsp simple syrup
  • Soda water, to top
  • Ice cubes

How to make it

  2. 2Fill the glass with ice.
  3. 3Add the white rum (skip for the mocktail) and the cold-brewed energy blend.
  4. 4Top with a splash of soda water and stir gently to combine.
  5. 5Garnish with a fresh mint sprig and a lime wheel; serve cold.
