Kohvieri is where Tallinn buys its Sunday tea: it is the only Old Town counter on this list open seven days a week, and a 50 g packet of most things costs less than 4,00 €.

Kohvieri is at Olevimägi 11, on the short slope that climbs from Uus street towards St Olaf's church in the northern half of the Old Town. Its site describes it as a family company that has sold coffee, tea and accessories from this spot since 2007, and puts the old-town setting at the centre of the experience. It is a coffee shop first in name, with origin coffees, flavoured beans and decaf, but the tea list is as long as the coffee one and organised by colour: white, green, oolong, black, rooibos, herbal and mate, fruit blends.

Almost every tea comes in 50, 100 and 250 g, and the 50 g prices are the lowest of the six shops on the Tallinn page: an English Breakfast at 3,50 €, a China Sencha at 3,90 €, a Ti Kuan Yin at 3,70 €, a Darjeeling FTGFOP from the Ambootia garden at 5,20 € and a Taiwanese Tung Ting at 6,00 €. Higher up the list sit a Japanese gyokuro, a Yin Zhen silver needle and jasmine dragon pearls, and a 30 g organic Japanese matcha. The Japanese sencha was sold out on the day of this check.

The other half of the shop is teaware: Bredemeijer cast-iron and double-walled pots, Weis glass pots with filters, Japanese Tokoname kyusu, Price & Kensington teapots, strainers, tins and matcha sets. Hours are Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 18:00 and Sunday 10:00 to 17:00, which makes it the one Old Town tea counter open on a Sunday. The web shop ships across Estonia and advertises a 10 percent discount on new teas and coffees for their first month; the prices above are the regular ones.
