Fourteen tea shop cities, from Vienna to La Plata, and Toronto refreshed

Fourteen cities joined our tea shop pages this week, the most in any week so far, and one of them opens a new country: Argentina, with La Plata and Morón. Every page carries the same things as the rest of the map: shops with a street address, the hours they publish, the price and pack size of the teas on their shelves in the local currency, and the counter we would send a friend to first. Twenty-three of the new shops have a page of their own, with three picks from the shelf and one tea worth the trip. And Toronto, the oldest page in the queue, went from 18 teas to 28 at its one shop.
Brighton, Leeds and Manchester share two names and differ on the third. Bird & Blend Tea Co. keeps its wall of 100 blends in all three, a 50 g pouch of its classics at 6,00 £ and a signature blend for each city: Brighton Rock by the seafront, Yorkshire Rose on Commercial Street, Champagne Supernova in the Northern Quarter. Whittard of Chelsea, the merchant founded in 1886, sells 100 g pouches of English Breakfast, Earl Grey and Darjeeling at 10,95 £ on East Street, Lands Lane and Market Street. The third counter is local. In Brighton it is MDTea at Unit 27 of the Open Market, Chrysler Breakfast at 6,50 £ for 100 g; in Leeds it is Teapot - Tea or Coffee in the Food Hall of Kirkgate Market, more than 100 numbered teas with English Breakfast at 3,95 £ for 50 g, the lowest price of the week in pounds.
Vienna buys its tea within a ten-minute walk of the cathedral: Haas & Haas at Stephansplatz 4, with more than 300 teas and English Breakfast at €6.60 for 100 g; the Theehandlung Schönbichler on the Wollzeile, whose house Earl Grey is €5.90; and JägerTEE beside the Staatsoper, trading since 1862, Breakfast Tea at €5. Utrecht fits inside the canal ring: Simon Lévelt on the Vismarkt, Earl Grey at €5.80 for 100 g, and Kusmi Tea's boutique inside de Bijenkorf, Ceylon OP at €12.70. Oldenburg, on the edge of East Frisia, has Nölker & Nölker on Lange Straße, a family business since 1920 with a Ceylon Orange Pekoe at 5,50 € per 100 g, and TeeGschwendner on the Schloßplatz, English Breakfast at 5,80 €. Vitoria-Gasteiz buys on Calle Eduardo Dato, where the Tea Shop chain opened its first store in the city in October 2025, Strong English Breakfast at €8.75 for 100 g, and Casa Eguía has roasted coffee at number 7 since 1936 and weighs English Breakfast at €7.
Argentina enters the map with two cities. La Plata sells most of its tea through dietéticas: Aldea Ecológica on Calle 54, open since 2006, weighs gunpowder at AR$ 7.900 for 50 g, and Llama Coffee Roasters packs four blends in 125 g tins at AR$ 15.800. Morón has Marlina Blends in Castelar Sur, a family tea house whose blends are named after places and cost AR$ 9.000 for 25 g, and the Castelar branch of New Garden, Assam at AR$ 6.400 for 100 g. San José, in Costa Rica, has the six Tea Bars of Sencha Tea Co., English Breakfast at ₡5,450 for 50 g before the 13 % IVA, and the Twinings shelf at Walmart and Mas x Menos from ₡4,080. In the United States, Nashville sells by the ounce at Suraj Spices & Teas on City Boulevard, organic English Breakfast at US$ 4, and Springfield, Missouri, has Chabom Teas + Spices on historic Commercial Street, some 180 teas with English Breakfast at US$ 5.45 the ounce. Sherbrooke has Mystea on rue King Est, a family tea house since 2011, English Breakfast at CA$ 10.50 for 50 g. And Launceston closes the list: Your Tea Shop on George Street stocks T2's 100 g cubes at A$ 18 next to a 2025 first-flush Darjeeling tin at A$ 48, and The Tea Equation sells its Tasmanian blends at its cellar door in Prospect, everything A$ 14 for 50 g.
Toronto was this week's maintenance page. Tao Tea Leaf at 934 Yonge Street keeps every one of its 18 prices, Tie Guan Yin still at CA$ 13 for 25 g, and ten more teas from its shelf join the page: Shui Xian, Rou Gui, Bao Zhong and Milk Oolong at CA$ 13, a Tai Ping Hou Kui green at CA$ 21.50, Golden Assam, Ying De, a CA$ 9 Earl Grey and smoked Lapsang, and a masala chai at CA$ 11. The page now also gives the address of the second counter inside Union Station, 65 Front Street West, which opens at 7:30 on weekdays. Two older shop pages changed this week as well: Random Tea Room in Philadelphia moved its online shop, so its 21 teas have new links and six new prices, and El Naranjo in Montevideo now opens its Ciudad Vieja shop at 9:00.
Every one of these shops now appears in the “Where to find it” box of the teas it stocks. Open Earl Grey, pick a country, and the box lists the shops there that carry it, with price and size: the exact tea first, close matches after, and tea houses with a counter ahead of online-only sellers. If you would rather start from the occasion than from the shop, teas by moment sorts the catalogue that way.
