Our favorite tea shops in Launceston

3 places we'd send a friend to.

Launceston buys its tea from two very different counters. In the city centre, Your Tea Shop on George Street is an independent tea and teaware boutique that stocks T2 alongside Tasmanian and Sri Lankan brands, with 100 g cubes of English Breakfast at A$ 18 and a 50 g tin of 2025 first-flush Darjeeling at A$ 48; out in Prospect, The Tea Equation blends its own Tasmanian teas with botanicals from the Huon Valley and sells them at its cellar door at A$ 14 for 50 g. The Spotted Quoll, a Tasmanian fashion and homewares shop on Quadrant Mall, keeps a shelf of those blends too, and The Art of Tea, a Tasmanian company from Kingston near Hobart, ships its range across Australia. Prices below are in Australian dollars, GST included.
