Bird & Blend Tea Co., the blender that calls the city its home town, keeps two shops here: the flagship Tea Mixology store on Gardner Street in the North Laine and a second counter in the Kings Road Arches on the beach, with a 6,00 £ pouch of its house English Breakfast and a pink, caffeine-free Brighton Rock blend made for the city. Whittard of Chelsea trades on East Street, steps from the sea, with 100 g pouches of English Breakfast, Earl Grey and Darjeeling at 10,95 £; and MDTea, a local blender that began in a tearoom, has a counter in the Open Market on Marshalls Row with the gentlest prices on this page, from a 6,50 £ breakfast blend to Silver Needle at 10,00 £ for 50 g. Both have the wall of 100 loose leaf blends and mixologists making iced teas and lattes.
