Almost the whole shelf is one price, $15 the ounce, so the decision stops being about money and becomes only about what you feel like drinking.
The RX Tea Shop shares an address with Danfe Tea inside The Shed at the Dallas Farmers Market, and opens Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 5. It is run by Michelle and James: she is a professional chef and self-taught herbalist who creates every blend on the table, he is a lifelong Dallasite who came out of luxury hospitality and runs sourcing and operations. The blending, the artwork and the packaging are all done by hand, by the two of them, in Dallas.
The price list is unusually flat. Most teas are $15 the ounce as loose leaf, or $20 for the same weight in plant-based sachets, so a Yunnan Gold Tip, a sencha, a Himalayan oolong, a chamomile and a masala chai all cost the same. The exception is ceremonial matcha, sold in a half-ounce kraft pouch at $10. Every size prints how many cups it makes, which is the detail that turns this stall into the easy place to buy tea as a present.
Beyond the weekend table, the shop makes custom blends to order, both for individual customers and for hospitality businesses that want their own house tea, and it ships from the website for the five days a week the market stall is shut. Because everything is original to the shop, none of these blends can be matched at another counter: what you take home on Sunday afternoon exists only here and in whatever kitchen it came out of.

The one worth the trip
Ceremonial Grade Matcha, kraft pouch

Ceremonial matcha usually arrives in a 30 g tin at a price that makes you think twice. Here it comes in a half-ounce kraft pouch, the smallest and cheapest thing on the whole list, which makes this the least expensive way in the city to find out whether you like whisked tea at all. If you do not, you have lost very little.
