Every blend costs the same, so the only question at the counter is which place you want in the cup: Bariloche, Marruecos, Comarca Andina or París.
Marlina Blends is a family business at Almafuerte 2610 in Castelar Sur, the part of the partido of Morón south of the Sarmiento railway. The shop opens Tuesday to Friday from 15:00 to 19:00 and ships the rest of the week: nationwide by Correo Argentino or private courier, free above 100.000 AR$, with pick-up at the counter for those nearby. The family trained at the Escuela Argentina de Té and holds a certification in tea design, which is the trade the house is built on.
The catalogue is blends first. Each one is named after a place and built to recall a drink, a dish or a product from there: Bariloche is Argentine black tea with raspberries, rose petals and cacao husk; Comarca Andina is black tea with forest fruits and Patagonian flowers; Marruecos is green tea with mint leaves; Black Chai is black tea with cinnamon, cardamom, clove and ginger; París, Jamaica and Pérsica sit on an oolong base and Provenza, Rosa Patagónica and Pehuajó on a white one. The pure teas are three: a black, a green and an Argentine oolong.
Every blend comes in two formats, a doypack or a tin, each in 25 g and 50 g, and every blend is the same price within its format, so the 25 g doypack is the way to try several places in one order. Beyond the shelf, the house sells a tasting sampler and blooming teas, and offers tastings, training and custom blends for companies and for people who want a tea of their own. The pure teas come only in 50 g.

The one worth the trip
Té Oolong (argentino)
AR$ 13,000 · 50 g
An Argentine oolong, sold pure in 50 g. Argentina grows tea in Misiones and Corrientes and almost all of it is black for export, so an oolong made from Argentine leaf is a rarity on any counter, and here it is also the base of six of the house blends. It is the one tea on this list you cannot pick up at the dietética down the road.
