Citrus Green Tea Gin Fizz
A sparkling gin fizz built on citrus green tea, fresh lemon, and a float of orange liqueur—bright, botanical, and irresistibly refreshing.
Gin and citrus green tea are a natural pair—the tea's lemon-orange brightness amplifies gin's botanical character, creating a base that tastes like a garden in a glass.
Infuse the gin with citrus green tea for just one hour. The tea's catechins add a subtle tannic grip that gives the cocktail backbone, while the citrus oils perfume the spirit without making it bitter.
The orange liqueur float (Cointreau or Grand Marnier) adds a silky sweetness that rounds out the sharpness of the lemon juice. Pour it over the back of a spoon so it layers on top before the first sip.
For a mocktail version, replace the gin with cold-brewed citrus green tea concentrate and skip the orange liqueur—use a splash of orange juice and sparkling water instead. Every bit as bright, just without the buzz.
