Málaga keeps its loose-leaf shopping inside the old town, a few minutes apart on foot. One shop has been weighing tea on Calle San Juan since 1994 and sells almost everything in 50 g bags; the other, on Calle Especería behind the market, works with single-estate lots — first-flush Darjeeling, Japanese sencha, Kirishima matcha — priced by 100 g. Both ship anywhere in Spain.

    A tea and coffee specialist at C/ Especería 26, two streets from the Mercado de Atarazanas, with an unusually deep origin list for a city this size. Darjeeling FF Premium Badamtam BIO from €9.70 per 100 g and a fresh 2026 Singell first flush at €29.90, Assam Banaspaty at €7.60, Japanese Bancha and Kagoshima Hojicha under €10, Yame Sencha at €15.70, Anxi Tie Kuan Yin at €17.50, Da Hong Pao at €19.15, Pai Mu Tan King at €17.90 and Kirishima matcha in 30 g tins from €24.15. Every leaf is also sold in 250, 500 and 1000 g.

    On Calle San Juan 22 since 1994, this is the everyday tea counter of the old town: black, green, white, oolong, pu-erh, rooibos and herbal, nearly all of it in 50, 100, 150 and 250 g bags. English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Assam, Darjeeling, Lapsang Souchong, Sencha, Gunpowder and Jasmine all start at €4.50 for 50 g, Genmaicha at €5.99, Kukicha at €5.90, Pai Mu Tan at €5.95, Formosa Oolong at €6.00 and Milky Oolong at €6.90; ceremonial organic matcha comes in a 30 g tin at €21.99. They also roast their own coffee.
