Energy Blend Dark Chocolate Mint Truffles
Dark chocolate truffles infused with the energy blend — yerba mate, guayusa, and peppermint marrying beautifully with cocoa for a lightly caffeinated treat.
Dark chocolate and the energy blend are a natural pairing: cocoa's bitterness loves the green, grassy notes of mate and guayusa, while the blend's peppermint reads as a built-in chocolate-mint flavor. These truffles fold both into a rich, lightly caffeinated bite.
The technique is simple — steep the blend in warm cream, then strain and use that infused cream to make a classic ganache. The mate and guayusa add depth and a touch of natural caffeine, while the peppermint brings that fresh, after-dinner-mint character.
Chill the ganache until firm, then roll into truffles and dust with cocoa. A pinch of the dry blend or a little crushed peppermint on top makes a pretty, aromatic finish.
Serve these as a small after-dinner treat — they pair perfectly with a cup of the hot blend. Keep in mind they carry a touch of caffeine, so they're more of a daytime or early-evening indulgence than a bedtime one.
