In a mall built around chains, this is the counter where a Keemun, a Tie Guan Yin and a Silver Needle are sold by the gram and named by their origin.

Tao Tea Leaf is a Toronto merchant with a flagship on Yonge Street and a counter at Union Station, and its Mississauga location is inside The Food District at Square One, 100 City Centre Drive, by entrances 6 and 7 next to Indigo. The counter is open seven days, from 11am to 8pm Monday to Thursday, to 9pm on Friday and Saturday and to 7pm on Sunday, and its locations page lists what this address carries: loose-leaf tea by weight, tea tins and gift sets, chaga, matcha, and tea-based drinks hot and cold, including tea lattes, boba and milk tea and seasonal specials.

The catalogue is priced from a 25 g pouch, with 50, 100 and 250 g and 5 g samples behind it. The blacks start at CA$ 9 for the Earl Grey and a smoked Lapsong Souchong, with Keemun at CA$ 10.50 and Golden Assam at CA$ 13; the greens are a Jasmine at CA$ 11 and an organic Japanese Sencha at CA$ 11.50; the oolongs an organic Tie Guan Yin at CA$ 13 and a Da Hong Pao at CA$ 17. Beyond them sit a Silver Needle white at CA$ 15, an Imperial Pu-er shou from Jing Mai at CA$ 12, a Masala Chai at CA$ 11, and a 113 g tin of organic ceremonial matcha at CA$ 39.99.

Online orders ship free over CA$ 35 but cannot be collected at this counter, which the shop states plainly on its locations page, so Square One is for buying in person. For a visitor in Mississauga that is the point: the two other tea counters in the same mall sell sealed packs and pouches, and this is the one where the leaf is weighed in front of you.
