After-Dinner Digestion Tonic with Lemon and Honey

A soothing after-dinner tonic of the digestion blend brewed with fresh ginger, lemon, and honey — the classic settling cup to ease a full stomach.

This tonic is the digestion blend at its most purposeful: a warm, caffeine-free cup designed to ease that overfull feeling after a big meal. Peppermint and fennel bring their classic carminative comfort, ginger adds settling warmth, and chamomile relaxes the whole experience into something calming.

A few extra slices of fresh ginger deepen the warming, stomach-soothing character, while lemon brightens the herbs and honey rounds off any sharpness. Together they make a tonic that feels both gentle and genuinely soothing.

Steep it for around 5 to 7 minutes to draw out the full carminative character of the mint and fennel — these herbs reward a slightly longer infusion. Cover the cup while it steeps to keep the fragrant volatile oils from escaping.

Sip it slowly about 15 to 20 minutes after dinner. A gentle note: chamomile belongs to the Asteraceae (daisy) family, so anyone with a known ragweed or daisy allergy should approach it with care. As an everyday after-meal ritual, this tonic is a calm, comforting way to close the evening.
