Chamomile Lavender Sleep Tonic

Chamomile meets lavender, raw honey, and a splash of warm milk in the ultimate bedtime ritual—calming, golden, and naturally caffeine-free.

This sleep tonic is chamomile at its most powerful. Combined with dried lavender and raw honey, it creates a deeply relaxing drink that signals your body it's time to wind down.

The lavender amplifies chamomile's natural sedative qualities without making the drink taste medicinal. Just a small pinch is enough—too much and it tips into soapy territory.

Warming a splash of milk (dairy or oat) into the brewed tea adds body and richness, turning a simple herbal infusion into something that feels like a warm hug in a mug.

Make this your nightly ritual 30 minutes before bed. The consistent routine, combined with the tea's natural calming compounds, builds a powerful sleep cue over time.

Ingredients

  • 2 chamomile tea bags or 2 tbsp dried chamomile flowers
  • 1 cup hot water (just off the boil)
  • 1/4 tsp dried culinary lavender
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
  • 3 tbsp warm milk (dairy or oat)
  • Pinch of cinnamon (optional)

How to make it

  1. 1Place chamomile and dried lavender in a mug. Pour hot water over and cover with a saucer. Steep 7–8 minutes for maximum potency.
  2. 2Strain through a fine sieve into a clean mug.
  3. 3Let cool 2 minutes, then stir in raw honey until dissolved.
  4. 4Add warm milk and a pinch of cinnamon if desired. Stir gently and sip slowly.
