The fixed 100 g pack is the shop's whole argument: one size, one price on the label, and a catalogue chosen by origin and harvest rather than by flavouring.

Tea Ritual is at Carrer de les Monges 6, in the historic centre of Palma a few steps from Plaça Major, in the ground floor of an eighteenth-century building that opens onto a typical Mallorcan courtyard. The shop describes its selection as inspired by Japanese tea culture and chosen by origin and harvest, and the shelves show it: matcha in several grades from Keiko and Kirishima, and a Japanese green range that runs through sencha, shincha, gyokuro, hojicha, genmaicha, kukicha and bancha before the black, oolong, white and pu-erh shelves begin.

Every loose tea comes in a 100 g pack, which keeps the comparison simple: Ceylan Pettiagalla and organic Gunpowder at 7,50 €, Assam Banaspaty at 7,90 €, Sencha Fukuyu at 8,00 €, English Breakfast at 8,70 €, Hojicha at 11,00 €, Genmaicha and Kukicha just under 14 €, Keemun Mao Feng at 14,50 €, Oolong Milky at 17,00 €, a Nepal oolong from the Jun Chiyabari garden at 22,50 € and Silver Needle at 34,00 €. The matcha is the exception, sold in 30 g tins: the Kirishima Supreme at 39 € and the Keiko Supreme at 50 €.

Around the tea there is Japanese incense, ceramics and matcha tools, and the shop uses its space for matcha workshops, a cold-tea lab, ceramics sessions with 2J Ceramics, Japanese cooking workshops and exhibitions, including an open evening for the Nit de l'Art. It also designs tea menus and trains staff for cafés and restaurants. Online orders can be collected in the shop; shipping to mainland Spain and the Balearics costs 5 € and is free from 70 €, and the shop does not ship to the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla.
