McKinney, north of Dallas, has two very different places to buy leaf tea. One is a family tea company on University Business Drive that blends and packs its own range and keeps a weekday showroom you can walk into; the other is a spice-and-tea merchant on the old courthouse square downtown, where loose tea is scooped into 1, 4 and 8 ounce bags alongside the salts and the vanillas. Between them they cover black, green, oolong and matcha, and both ship within the United States.

Loose tea is sold in 1, 4 and 8 ounce bags across sixty black teas, thirty-three greens and fifteen oolongs, next to hand-blended spices, sea salts and vanillas: an organic Earl Grey is $6.99 for 1 oz, an Assam Bukhial $7.99, a Dragonwell $8.99, and organic Gunpowder, Genmaicha and Formosa Oolong $6.99 each, with 4 oz bags from $25.99. Prices come from the group web store, which ships only within the US and warns that its range and the shelf in McKinney do not match exactly.
