Winnipeg buys its loose leaf in three very different rooms: a Dutch-style tea and coffee boutique on Academy Road that has weighed out 50 g bags since 2004, a tea cocktail bar in the Exchange District that sells every tea on its menu to take home, and a mother-and-daughter coffee and tea counter downtown at Cityplace with 100 g packs. Most teas come in 50 g and 100 g: English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Assam Bukhial, Masala Chai and yerba mate at CA$ 8 the 50 g, Dragon Well at CA$ 14, Iron Goddess oolong and organic Japanese sencha at CA$ 15, Tung Ting at CA$ 19.50 and an Aiya ceremonial matcha at CA$ 40 the 30 g tin. Orders over CA$ 100 ship free in Canada or are delivered free within the city.
