Our favorite tea shops in Montreal
3 places we'd send a friend to.
Montreal buys its loose leaf in neighbourhood tea houses rather than downtown: a tea salon and shop on rue Wellington in Verdun that has been pouring since 2003 and stocks around 125 teas by the 50 g, and a Japanese-leaning merchant on rue Beaubien Est, also from 2003, with more than 600 teas, a matcha bar and a second tea bar on rue Saint-Hubert. The DAVIDsTEA store in the Centre Eaton covers the chain's catalogue until 9pm from Wednesday to Friday. Prices on this page run from CA$ 5.98 for 50 g of yerba mate to CA$ 39 for 50 g of matcha, with 10 g of a competition-grade Oriental Beauty at CA$ 25.
