The Spanish tea chain's two Palma stores, in the centre on Carrer de Sant Nicolau and in the Porto Pi shopping centre, selling the full catalogue by weight.
A chain store is where you go when you know the name of the tea you want and need it today: a Tie Kuan Yin, a Lapsang, a Darjeeling first flush, weighed out on a Saturday evening.
Tea Shop has two stores in Palma. The city-centre one is at Carrer de Sant Nicolau 3, between Plaça del Mercat and the Born, and opens Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 20:30; the second is inside the Porto Pi shopping centre on Avinguda Gabriel Roca, by the port, and keeps mall hours from 9:00 to 22:00. Both describe themselves the same way: loose teas and infusions by weight, plus teapots, cups, infusers, matcha accessories and gourmet food. Both close on Sunday.
The catalogue is the chain's and the prices are the chain's online prices. Classic origins sit between 7,50 € and 10,50 € per 100 g: Kenya Marinyin, Nilgiri Korakundah, Strong English Breakfast, Earl Grey Superior, Ceylon Nuwara Eliya, Assam Maud, Sencha, organic Gunpowder, Genmaicha, Tie Kuan Yin, the Tarry Lapsang and a Pu Erh. The premium origins come in 50 g: Dong Ding at 13,18 €, Lung Ching at 15,48 € and Silver Needles at 25,98 €, with a Darjeeling first flush at 16,50 € the 100 g and a Jasmine Chung Feng at 19,75 €.
Most loose teas start at 100 g and go up through 250 g and 500 g to a kilo, so the per-gram price falls as the bag grows; the organic matcha is a 30 g tin at 25,75 €, and the yerba mate comes in 500 g at 14,38 €. Beyond the origins there are the chain's own flavoured blends, rooibos and herbal infusions, a chai latte blend and an organic chamomile in 50 g. Online orders over 20 € ship free in Spain, Italy and Portugal and every order includes a free sample.
