Groningen's tea shopping fits in a short walk through the city centre: the Simon Lévelt coffee and tea shop on Zwanestraat, a stone's throw from the Martinitoren, and Yourdailyteacup on Nieuwe Ebbingestraat, a tea shop run by a tea sommelier with a second branch in Leeuwarden. Two other shops sell loose tea alongside other things: Batsu, a Japanese goods shop on Pottebakkersrijge with sencha, genmaicha, hojicha and matcha, and Dille & Kamille on Grote Kromme Elleboog with its own-brand organic teas in 65 to 75 g bags. Prices below are in euros with VAT included.

In storeShips online· 12 pricesThe Groningen shop of the Dutch coffee and tea house whose founder opened a small grocer's in Amsterdam's old harbours in 1826, at Zwanestraat 38, a stone's throw from the Martinitoren; the shop grinds coffee fresh for each customer and its tea range changes through the year. Loose teas are mostly sold from 100 g, with 1 kg packs for the everyday ones: Earl Grey at €5.80, Sencha at €5.60 and Ti Kuan Yin at €10.40 for 100 g, a summer-flush Darjeeling at €8.95 for 100 g and Pai Mu Tan at €4.60 for 30 g. Online orders can be picked up free at the shop, and orders over €50 ship free in the Netherlands and Belgium.
