Petaling Jaya drinks Chinese tea, and its two tea shops with readable prices show both ends of it: the One Utama outlet of Purple Cane, the Kuala Lumpur tea merchant founded in 1987, with Tie Guan Yin, Dong Ding, Da Hong Pao and Long Jing in 80 to 100 g packs, open until 10:30pm every day; and a pu-erh and dark-tea specialist in Kota Damansara, trading since 2011, that pours tastings at the shop and sells 357 g cakes and Fu bricks going back to 1995. Prices on this page run from RM 27 for 100 g of Zhejiang green to RM 208 for a 2016 ripe pu-erh cake, with most oolongs between RM 52.50 and RM 70 the 100 g.

Its website publishes the shelf with prices: a premium jasmine tea at RM 35 the 100 g, a 2013 raw pu-erh tuo at RM 100 the 100 g, a 2017 XiaGuan raw cake at RM 80 and Da Dian Hao ripe cakes from 2018 and 2016 at RM 148 and RM 208 the 357 g, plus Hunan Fu bricks from 1995 and 2012 at RM 38. Orders are placed at the shop or through its marketplace listings; delivery is quoted by phone.
