Our favorite tea shops in Ottawa
3 places we'd send a friend to.
Ottawa has one classic walk-in tea shop, in the ByWard Market since 1996, open seven days and selling everything by the 100 g, and a single-origin specialist that has just moved to Colonnade Road near Hunt Club and sells online with curbside pickup while the new shop is fitted out. Day to day, loose leaf also comes through the city's coffee roasters: Bridgehead's seventeen coffeehouses stock its own 50 g tins at a flat price, and Equator's six cafés carry Rishi one-pound bags and Genuine Tea matcha. Prices on this page run from CA$ 6 for 50 g of yerba mate to CA$ 45 for 100 g of Silver Needle or jasmine pearls.
