Helsinki's tea shops sit within a few blocks of each other in Kamppi and Punavuori, and each brews at the table before it sells: a Chinese-run tea house on Annankatu that pours gongfu style, a Chaoshan-tradition tea house on Uudenmaankatu open since 2024 that sells from 30 g, and the tea room on Eerikinkatu that has been open since 2005 and weighs most of its teas by the gram. Prices on this page run from €5 for 50 g of bancha to €27 for 30 g of ceremonial matcha, and a Finnish blender in Vantaa ships nationwide from €5.14 the pack.

Tea is brewed gongfu style at the table. Packs are small and priced accordingly: a 2026 first-flush Darjeeling Risheehat at €8.50 the 25 g, an Assam Mokalbari from €8.50 the 50 g, Milky Oolong at €10 the 50 g, GABA oolong at €12.80 the 40 g, a Mi Lan Xiang dancong at €12.70 the 25 g and a ceremonial Uji matcha at €25 the 30 g. It runs a tea school and kintsugi courses, and ships within Finland from €5.90.

The 30 g tier makes it the cheapest way in the city to try a named tea: Dong Ding, Alishan, Rou Gui, Huoshan Yellow Bud and a ten-year Bulang sheng pu-erh at €9, Tie Guan Yin, Da Hong Pao and a Fujian Jin Jun Mei at €10, a 2026 pre-Qingming Xi Hu Long Jing, Bi Luo Chun and Silver Needle at €11; a Japanese bancha is €5 the 50 g. Gongfu tastings and workshops are held at the table.

Most loose teas are sold by weight, priced per gram with a €5 minimum: an organic Gunpowder at €0.07, Earl Grey Excelsior and Yunnan Dian Hong at €0.08, Assam Borhat and a Castleton Darjeeling at €0.10, an Ali Shan Jin Xuan at €0.17 and a 2026 Lung Ching at €0.32. Japanese and Taiwanese teas come in fixed packs: Sencha Fuji at €16 the 100 g, Shui Xian at €17 and Dong Ding Premium at €21 the 50 g, an organic ceremonial matcha at €27 the 30 g. Delivery is within Finland only, or free pickup at either room.
