Madrid sells loose leaf by the 100 g almost everywhere, which makes prices easy to compare across the city. A shop on the Arganzuela riverside keeps the long origin list — Lung Ching, Silver Needles, Da Hong Pao, Keemun Congou — while a neighbourhood counter in Chamberí, by Cuatro Caminos, covers the everyday teas in tins of about thirty cups each.
