Thornhill straddles Vaughan and Markham along Yonge Street, and its tea lives in its groceries rather than in a tea house: a Korean supermarket at Yonge and Steeles whose aisle runs to Nokchawon and Dongsuh greens, Yamamotoyama sencha and an Itoen matcha, and a natural-foods warehouse on Doncaster Avenue, there since 1994, with bulk gunpowder, an organic Uji sencha, loose hibiscus and yerba mate. Both lists lean green and herbal. Prices on this page run from CA$ 4.99 for 16 sencha bags to CA$ 28.99 for 95 g of organic Uji sencha.
