St. Augustine buys its loose-leaf tea in two very different places. In the historic district, a spice and tea franchise on Hypolita Street, a few steps from St. George Street, keeps a tea bar beside its seasonings. Out on State Road 16A, a local tea and spice company that started at the Saturday farmers market runs a shop and café in a parish hall and sells its teas in small pouches. Prices on this page run from US$ 7 for 0.8 oz of sencha or Wuyi oolong to US$ 65 for a 2.1 oz tin of Uji matcha.
