Halifax has two independent tea shops, both with their own way of buying. World Tea House, on Argyle Street across from the Neptune Theatre since 2010, is a sit-down tea house with about a hundred loose teas, many of them organic and bought direct from farms, sold from 17 CA$ for 100 g of Earl Grey. Eastern Tea Bar, a family shop on Gottingen Street in the North End, sells small-batch teas in 25 and 50 g bags, from a 6 CA$ Genmaicha to a 2026 Uji matcha at 27 CA$ for 30 g. Prices are in Canadian dollars.
