Cardiff's tea is sold out of its Victorian and Edwardian arcades and its teahouses. Waterloo Tea, the importer that opened its first teahouse in Penylan in 2008, now has three rooms in the city and the deepest loose-leaf list, from a 5,80 £ English Breakfast to single-estate Darjeeling and Japanese sencha; Bird & Blend keeps its wall of 100 blends in the Royal Arcade a few doors from Wally's, the delicatessen that has traded there since 1981; and Quantum, the coffee roaster by the castle and in the Bay, sells a short tea range in tubs. Prices below are in pounds with VAT included.
